Presented by Spectrum Music with Florian François.

What can transport you Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea or take you on a trip Around the World in 80 Days? The novels of Jules Verne and now, the music of the Spectrum composers. With this concert, in partnership with the Alliance Française de Toronto’s Sunday Family program, we pay tribute to one of France’s greatest literary figures and the Father of Science Fiction. Can the exploration of the world around us deepen our understanding of ourselves? Verne’s stories from “Voyages Extraordinaires” will inspire playful and wondrous new pieces performed by a hand-picked ensemble of Toronto’s finest jazz/world musicians. The addition of Francophone actors, Florian Francois and Genevieve Fontaine, will bring this adventurous music to life.
